Not every student’s pathway after Senior 4 leads to a university degree. Some students have the skills, drive, and vision to enter a vocation or start their own business. The Hearts United Pathways Entrepreneurship Program helps these students turn that potential into a sustainable livelihood.
Students are considered for the program based on their character, work ethic, skills, leadership potential, and the strength of their business or vocational plan. Depending on their goals, support may include vocational training, business planning, mentorship, tools, equipment, or other startup expenses needed to begin working and eventually operate a successful business.
Spiro is one example.
Spiro has a passion for automobiles and dreams of becoming an auto mechanic. His goal is not simply to find a job. He wants to develop his skills, establish his own shop, earn a sustainable income, and eventually create opportunities for others.
Spiro may need additional vocational training to develop his mechanical skills. Once trained, however, he will still need the tools and equipment to put those skills to work and begin building his business.
That is where the Entrepreneurship Program can make a difference.
Your gift can help students like Spiro move from learning a skill to building a livelihood. By investing in their training, tools, and startup needs, we can help young adults become self-reliant, provide for their families, and contribute to their communities' economic growth.
Will you help a student turn a skill into a future?
Together, we can give students more than an opportunity to dream. We can help provide the resources they need to work, build, lead, and thrive.
